Marketplace is a section within the B2C Superapp that allows users to sell items globally. I led the end-to-end design process, focusing on attracting small and mid-sized businesses to the platform.

Increase the number of sellers by attracting small and mid-sized businesses to the app
Existing Flow (Before)
I started the research by analyzing the current flow and identifying its problems. The existing solution does not support adding multiple colors and sizes for a product. Each color and size must be added as a separate product in the system, which complicates product management and makes it harder for buyers to find the right item.
I also analyzed competitors to identify best practices for handling product variations. Unfortunately, we didn’t have access to analytics data or the ability to conduct quantitative research.
User interviews
We conducted interviews with sellers to understand the difficulties they encounter with the current solution and to explore ways to make product uploading easier. The key findings included:
✦ Most sellers use XLS files and bulk import on other platforms to upload products.
✦ Most sellers complained that it's overwhelming to upload products with different sizes and color variations. They usually add this information in the description, which makes it difficult to manage available quantities.
✦ Many users struggle with category mapping.
✦ Most sellers avoid using the characteristics section and instead add this information to the description field.
Design Solution
Add Product Page
Based on research findings and technical constraints, I designed a new solution. The product addition process was divided into several steps. In the first step, we aimed to simplify category mapping. When the user entered a product title, the system suggested a recommended category based on it.
In the second step, sellers enter product details such as colors and photos. To streamline future filtering, a custom color palette was added. Sellers also have the flexibility to define their own colors and link them to custom options.
In the third step, sellers configure product sizes and prices.
The final step is to define the product characteristics. Once the product is published, it is submitted for review.
Import
One of the key features added was import functionality. Based on research, we hypothesized that sellers would prefer importing all their products at once rather than entering them manually one by one. This would significantly speed up the store setup process and lower the entry barrier to the platform.
Errors and Edge Cases

Results
As a result, we developed most of the new functionality, successfully onboarding new sellers and customers to validate our hypotheses.
✦ more than +30% of sellers upload products via file import;
✦ ~500 products with color and size variations (within a month after launch);
